Because she wanted to put it on the china cat that adorned the mantelpiece, and she wanted to embrace Hattie but before anyone seen it Hattie could take it be for everyone could see it so she took it for a trophy instead. C.D
Probably just to get pay back for all of the mean stuff she did. But Ella did not have anywhere to put it. So she took it with her. D.H.
She took it because she was jealous. The reason she was jealous was Hattie was bragging. Nobody likes a bragger. So Ella took it with her.N.W
Because she is mean to her. She calls her names. She’s mean to her friend.

One reason Ella why Ella took it was because she was jealous about Hattie. And she was trying to get payback for every mean thing Hattie did to Ella. and Hatti was a brager and she did not like her bragging and took it. Z.R 
Well Ella didn’t like Hattie and she was mean to her. So she just took the wig.T.B.
I think Ella did that because Ella hated Hattie . I said that because in the story it said that Ella hated Hattie. Another reason is that Ella wanted to embrace Hattie too because she hated her.R.W.
